Dec 7. Dear Warriors. Yesterday I wanted to tell you how grateful for all the things broken. Not ALL the things broken, but just enough brokenness that I was called to rest. Really rest.
I'm not sure what was up, but my entire technical world shattered. A bit over dramatic. Thats not true. What really happened is that my text icon disappeared. I couldn't text (gasp, shock, horror) Then my browser on my phone vanished (oh no, completely shattered) Then my wifi went all cockadoo on me. So, I couldn't text, social media, email. NOTHING!! Yes, I panicked. Totally freak out. I mean shattered right?
But then the best thing happened? I took a total break. I was forced into it. I was forced into taking quiet restful time. And I have to be honest, this is What I am Project Warrior is all about - learning the skills to stay full so we can pour into others. And here I am again, getting forced into resting, healing, silence.
So I am grateful for the brokenness so I could rest. (Side note, the body repairs itself in rest) But I don't want to keep waiting until I am broken, sick, wounded to rest. I want to rest, repair and heal daily.
So, when things are hard or broken, give yourself permission to rest. Be grateful for when things don't go our way. Be grateful for the brokenness for it is great time of healing.
Today I challenge you to give thanks for all the things going "wrong" "shattered" "broken in your life.
*Ready for your time to Rest? I am Project Warrior Retreat Returns in March.
