Handstand

The first picture is my very first try doing a handstand. I was scared as bleep. There were other people watching, I could fall, I almost didn't do it. Fear wanted me to stay small, hidden and not try. Fear told me I would fall. Then something in me was stronger than fear that day and I gave it my all and was shocked at the results. To be honest, I couldn't stop staring at the picture of me... "wow, that's ME!"... I was amazed at myself and have no shame in that. Its good to say to yourself, "I love you, you gave your best." The middle photo was a few attempts later and lastly from new years day. I didn't constantly practice handstands to get this type of progress but I do constantly practice moving through fear. Sometimes yielding to it, sometimes being aware of it, and sometimes saying 'fuck you' to it.

Handstands are now a little less scary and a little more fun.

So... be consistent on your war with fear (be your greatest warrior. Your greatest project) and make room for a little more fun.
