Gifts

Dear Warriors, I want to let you know its my birthday coming up. I don't hide that I like to celebrate my birthday - my celebration of life. Yours, mine, ours...its meant to celebrate. I also don't hide that I like presents. The presents I like the most are when YOU show up and I get to hug you and spend time with you. My favorite present is your presence.
But this year I want to get even more truthful. I have dedicated and challenged myself this year to not buy anything new until the new year (and beyond I hope). And if you know me a little, you would know I love me some fashion and clothes. I'm a month in the challenge and I'm watching how money is growing in my jar and I'm less burdened by stuff.

Whats does this have to do with birthday celebrations? Well, it also means I don't want to receive anything new either. I want money to GROW in your jar too. How often do we feel tempted to get someone something for the sake or pressure of getting something. Money leaks from the jar and stuff piles up and the cycle continues.
So I'm going to get specific on what I'd like to receive this year. Anything homemade, any quality time, any talent of yours.
I want to challenge you too as we approach gift giving season to really think about what you are giving. I want your gifts to be full of intention. Are you helping the receiver to grow? Are you conscious in your spending? Is your spending supporting someone else? How does your gift showcase YOU?
Its an honor support artist and their endeavors. Please meet Katie Vaino who is a professional knitter. "Knitting is a form of prayer for me. With each hat I will be releasing trauma and sending these off with a beautiful purpose to heal. All of the proceeds of these hats are going towards paying for my families therapy to help us grow, evolve and love our lives even more."
I'm beyond humbled to offer these beautiful hats to Village. I love how we are all taking action towards healing - one stitch, one prayer, one step, one breath at a time. This is prayer, This is grace. This is saving lives. This is Village.
(The hats are $68 each. And a reminder the precious tea cups are for sale. $13/cup) Happy gift giving and receiving. Come for yoga, stay for tea, leave with love.
Whats Village you ask? Village is a fulfillment based community located in Walnut Creek, CA. Want more info? Drop me a line here.
